Torchwood 8 will be ending soon. Unfortunately, interest in it waned away and sci-fi sims will be trimming back the sims with little or no recent activity.

Very depressing news:

Elizabeth Sladen, who played Sarah Jane Smith in Doctor Who, K9 & Company, The Sarah Jane Adventures, and many Doctor Who-universe audio dramas has died from cancer at age 63.

She was a great supporter of Doctor Who and the favourite companion of many fans (including me). I'm not sure of the numbers, but her character probably appeared on Doctor Who more times than anybody else except for the Doctor.

She struggled with terminal cancer for many years, even while appearing on SJA and some new Doctor Who episodes.

She will be missed.

If only we really had a TARDIS. . .

A new team starts the first day at Torchwood 8, in a secret facility located underneath the Dragon & Rabbit pub in London. What happened to the old team is "classified" and the secretary, Vera, urges them to "try and stay alive". As directed by the mysterious bureau chief, Arthur Fishall, they head off on their first mission in a advanced humvee-like vehicle named "Herne".
